    CAIPLA is a non-profit organization of professionals with an interest in intellectual property law. Most members have J.D. degrees and are licensed attorneys or agents. Some of them have advanced degrees such as Ph.D. in life sciences or high-tech fields. We have members who are in-house counsel at leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies as well as patent attorneys practicing at private law firms. CAIPLA is headquartered in New England and has chapters on the west coast and in central U.S. as well as in China.
